WORKSHOP ON AIR FILTRATION TO ACHIEVE ACCEPTABLE IAQ IN WORK PLACES [ 2HRS 30MIN]

Mechanical Air Filtration for control of particulate matter in indoor environment has been an accepted practice around the world for decades. However, with its advantage as a useful tool, air filtration has its negatives too, coming along. In IAQ management, use of high efficiency filtration devices and high levels of dilution are but two pans of the same balance. A good IAQ strategy would look at using a wise combination of the two and going beyond, to use other practical solutions towards improving IAQ. All this, while keeping a watchful eye on energy consumption and its cost – benefit relationship. While talking of high economic growth nations like India, high levels of air pollution is commonly an undesired by-product, that makes achieving the balanced IAQ model even more difficult. It is in this scenario that choosing the right combination of air filters becomes very important. This talk will cover the various types of air filters that can be used and the considerations involved in choosing themas a IAQ management tool for use in HVAC systems.
